Friendly reminder: this isn't Twitter.
If you're mad about something? Use a content warning.
If you want to write a long post? Use a content warning.
Don't share screenshots of toots that make you mad, and don't follow people that make you mad.
You've left the swirling fire vortex of rage birdsite created to keep investors and advertisers happy. Live free! Live well 👍
@bobstechsite That was a pretty long post without a CW 🤓
@jamie I could have added "don't be a pedant!" 😜
I figured as I was targeting folks from birdsite who aren't used to reading posts with CWs I'd indulge myself on this one.
@bobstechsite I can’t help myself. Sorry!
@bobstechsite This needs to be boosted everywhere. Important stuff. We owe it to ourselves to focus on the positive.
@bobstechsite this is a quality post and I love this network already
@bobstechsite What qualifies as a "long post"?
Also, there are no ads - and everything is in actual chronological order.
@bobstechsite sounds good.

@bobstechsite I like that "don't follow people that make you mad". And if their toots get boosted by people you do follow, there are options for that. Don't follow those people's boosts, mute the people who are making you mad... But um, ah... I'm really overwhelmed right now by all the new people I'm seeing, and I'm just sticking to my home feed.
@bobstechsite Idk why twitter doesn't have a content warning system just for spoilers and stuff.
@bobstechsite great too but I have to disagree on the "long toot" rule 📝
@bobstechsite I never thought of using cw just for long posts, but I'll consider it. I figured the nature of the platform was long (but still limited) posts, and if you needed a warning for long but natively-supported post lengths, you'd just not be here. But that's not very inclusive.
@bobstechsite Wait... 500 chars is long?
Maybe... Blog post + link?
Is 88 words a "long" post?
